This is a lovely cream raw silk wrap dress from the 1040s, in a rare size 12-14. It is plain to the front with a V neck and a simple pocket. The back is however is altogether another story.... Covered in pastel coloured hand embroidered silk flowers and abstract patterns from the collar down to the hips, which gives a very artisanal feel.
The sleeves are slightly puffed and come to the elbows, the skirt is slightly loose with a very soft line and there is no exaggerated shoulders which was so typicalo f earlier dresses of the 1930s.
